Street Cats of Vis : Helping People Help Cats

Gadget was found all alone on the side of the road to Fort George in the middle of a storm. He was terribly malnourished and sick, but sweet and affectionate right from the start. We took him in, nursed him back to health, and he made a full recovery. We’ve integrated him into the colony on our land, where he gets fed twice a day and gets as much attention as he wants. His favorite trick is to flop down on the ground in front of people’s feet as they walk along the path to the land.

Gadget can be adopted alone, but we think it would be nice to rehome our land cats in pairs if possible. Gadget pairs nicely with his brother from another mother, Tux.

Gadget gets along great with other cats, and is so lovable! He’s calm, gentle and even though he’s been living outdoors for years, we think he could make the transition to being an indoor cat with no problem, as long as he gets plenty of attention.

He recently had all his teeth removed, as they were rotten and causing him pain.
