Taffi was the first kitten we rescued from Wellington, Vis’s open-air dump. We took her in back in July of 2020 as a recently weaned kitten, skin and bones. Her gums were white from anemia, likely because she was covered in fleas. We removed the fleas, bathed her, then gave her lots of food and love so she could grow strong and become a healthy member of the colony on Shiva’s land.
She’s a bit of a loner, but never has a problem with any other cat. Since she’s used to living on the land, we’d like her to find a home with a garden so she can continue to enjoy the outdoors. She’s a gentle, cuddly cat once you earn her trust, and we know she’ll make someone very happy.
She’s not bonded to any of the other land cats but gets along well with them, so she could either be matched with someone to make a pair, or adopted alone.
We’re pretty sure she’ll get along well with other cats, since she coexists peacefully in the colony. She would probably also be ok with gentle children and dogs, although this has not been tested.
The best home for Taffi is one where she’ll get plenty of cuddles and attention. If possible we would love for her to have some safe outdoor space as well, like a safe garden or catio.
Taffi’s FIV status is unknown, but we’ll have the test done when someone is interested in adopting.
