Smokki was rescued from the Vis town dump along with her sister Sooti. We’re familiar with the Wellington colony, so when we saw some fresh new kittens with no mum in sight, we assumed they’d been dumped.
We wanted to offer them a chance at a better life, so we took them in, fostered them, socialized them, sterilized them, and were getting them ready for adoption. But due to Covid-related travel and transport problems, they’ve ended up staying with us on the land. That’s ok, though: they’re happy, healthy and have a safe place to live where all their needs are taken care of. What more could anyone ask?
