Bagheera, known affectionately as Baghi, is a street cat we’ve been caring for since he was a kitten. We first met him in June of 2018, when he showed up in the street, meowing very loudly. His front left paw had been badly wounded: we cleaned it as best we could, and encouraged a nursing momcat to let him take the place of one of her kittens who had just died. She accepted, so even though Bagheera was just old enough to eat wet food, he got some mother’s milk and bonded with that little cat family. The others disappeared one by one, and Bagheera has been alone on the street for years now. His wound healed almost perfectly: the only way you can tell is that he has one less pad on that paw.
Bagheera would love to come inside, but it’s just not possible here. He needs a loving home where he can live indoors and out. He’s a loner on the street, but doesn’t seem to have any problem with other cats, dogs or children who come around his territory. He loves being petted, loves attention from humans, and is just waiting to find someone who will take good care of him and love him forever.
He has been castrated, but not vaccinated, nor tested for FIV. He seems very healthy. If you’re interested in adopting him, we’ll have him vaccinated and tested to make sure everything is ok.
– date of birth: May 2018
– sterilized
– indoor-outdoor
– good with other cats
– probably good with friendly dogs and kids
