What we do
This is an all-volunteer project, so it only works when people like you get involved. The more people who are willing to help, the less overwhelming it becomes! The work we do falls under these four points. Would you like to help?
People contact us about street cats that need help and we take the steps necessary to help them. This usually means getting them to a vet on Vis or in Split, providing treatment, feeding and after-care.
Sick or injured street cats may need special attention that can only be given in a controlled environment. We cultivate a network of people who can help by providing a temporary safe space and loving care.
Sterilization helps stabilize the population of street cats. Do you know of a cat who needs to be sterilized? The town of Vis is now funding this, so just contact us and we can make it happen.
Once former street cats have been given medical care if needed, have been sterilized and house-trained, they’re ready for adoption. We can help you through the adoption process for any destination in Europe. Click on any cat in the gallery below to read their story.
Read about some of the lucky cats and kittens who’ve gone from the streets of Vis to their forever homes.
Whether you’re on Vis and want to meet up or would like to support us from afar, we’d love to hear from you!
