Until we brought them inside to prepare them for adoption in January of 2026, Fireball and Mini had spent their whole lives on our land since we brought them up there as kittens. They’re used to having a vast, unlimited territory, far from roads and the dangers of traffic. They’ve adapted well to life indoors as we foster them and get them ready for adoption, but their ideal home would also have a catio so they can still enjoy the fresh air.
We think it would be best to keep them as indoor only cats, because the danger from cars is too great, especially for Fireball, who’s used to roaming.
Fireball and Mini are a bonded pair, and they’re both super cuddly. Both have their passports, their vaccines, and are ready to travel. Both tested negative for FIV when we brought them in.
They grew up in the competitive environment of a colony, so they can be disruptive to an already-established order. They would fit best in a home where they’re the only pets, and where they’ll get plenty of human attention. Fireball in particular craves this: he’ll follow you around like a dog, and meow loudly if you disappear, or if he’s unhappy for any other reason. But as long as he’s well fed and getting plenty of attention, everything will be fine.
We’ve listed them as being good with other cats, because for the most part, they are, but we would advise against adding them to an existing cat family. A better dynamic might be to introduce other pets later on, once they’ve established their new territory. Or just keep the two of them alone: that would be fine too!
Mini adores Fireball, and grooms him regularly. She’s also quite overweight due to free feeding on the land, and will need to be fed with discipline to get her back to a healthy weight
We’ve posted a lot of videos of them on instagram, facebook and TikTok: like, follow and share to help us find Fireball and Mini the loving home they deserve!
