Lucky Fuks found a forever home in Germany! Here’s his story.
We answered a call one night about a cat found in the middle of the road, hit by a car. He had severe head trauma and a badly broken jaw. His jaw was surgically repaired, and he also had several teeth removed, as they had broken in the accident.
The trauma initially caused him to lose all vision, but he soon regained vision in his right eye. His left eye needs to be monitored carefully, and will likely need to be removed in the future.
The person who found him named him Fuks, which means “Fluke” in Polish.
Fuks is a calm and gentle cat who makes sweet little noises and is easily scared because he’s still adjusting to having vision only in one eye. He loves the company of other cats, often coming to them with his head down asking for head licks, which they happily provide. He’s not demanding at all. He prefers to eat dry food and isn’t interested in treats. Although he’s shy around new people, he’s become more playful as he regains confidence.
