A lot of Vis street cats get eye infections which, if left untreated, can lead to their eyeballs withering up into an unsightly mess. Avanti’s infection was caught before it became that severe, but he still needed the eye removed. That’s ok: he’s doing just fine as a little pirate!
Lucky Avanti has a person who loves him and is not a street cat anymore. His favourite thing to do now is to play with his sister Cvita, another adopted street cat of Vis.
